Volunteers for VITA/TCE or Tax return counseling are wanted in your community

YUMA, Arizona- The IRS-sponsored Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) programs have been providing community service to millions since 1968 by helping taxpayers prepare their tax returns for free.
VITA/TCE provides measureable results with a positive economic impact.
As a volunteer, individuals will help people that need it most: low-to-moderate income and limited English proficient taxpayers, senior citizens, people with disabilities, Native Americans, Military personnel, the community.
Learn to prepare taxes and make a difference in your community at the same time. How can you make a difference? Simple. Volunteer to help your community by preparing taxes free of charge with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) or Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) Programs.
Volunteer will receive training to provide free tax help for low-to-moderate income families who need assistance preparing their tax returns.
How does this program work? As a committed tax volunteer they will be assigned to work with a sponsoring organization, first to receive training and then to begin volunteering at a location in your community. Training is offered both online and in the classroom. Tax sites are generally open nights and weekends and the hours are flexible.
