YUMA, Arizona- The Arizona Community Foundation of Yuma is now accepting nominations for the annual Heart of Yuma awards. Organizers will celebrate many local philanthropists, nonprofits, and community members at this year’s Heart of Yuma Awards on Tuesday, October 25 at the Yuma Art Center at 5:30 p.m. Registration will open in September.
Community members are now invited to submit their nominations in the following categories:
Outstanding Volunteer
Outstanding Leader
Outstanding Youth Leader (18 and under)
Outstanding Benefactor
Outstanding For-Profit Corporation
Outstanding Nonprofit Organization
Outstanding Service Organization
Nominations must be submitted no later than 11:59 p.m. MST on Wednesday, August 24 to be considered. You may submit only one nomination per category and no more than three total nominations.
All nominations will be reviewed by the Heart of Yuma Blue Ribbon Panel.
Category winners will be recognized for their contributions with an award and a Heart of Yuma paperweight. Two runner-up nominees in each category will also receive a paperweight heart.
All nominees will be contacted to confirm their willingness to be recognized for their contributions. The content of each nomination form will be provided for the nominee’s approval, if requested.
