Rural Metro Fire Department receive training from Fire Department of New York

YUMA, Arizona.- Every year, Rural Metro fire crews participate in VEIS (Vent, Enter, Isolate, Search) training.
This technique was developed by the FDNY and is used in fire departments across the country in rescue situations where fire crews need to take immediate action to rescue a victim.
Crews quickly clear the window to Ventilate and Enter the room, close the bedroom door to Isolate the room from fire, and rapidly Search for the victim in a methodical way.
This gives the victim the best chance of survival by initiating rescue efforts immediately.
