Yuma Police Departament offers support during October, which is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

YUMA, Arizona. – As all year, but specially during this month of October which is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Yuma Police Department would like to share more support to the residents.
As released by YPD, they said «You are not alone. Help is available! If you have been a victim of domestic abuse, the Yuma Police Department, along with our partners at Amberly’s Place are here to help.»


Domestic violence is one of the most widespread and dangerous safety challenges in our community today.
The Yuma Police Department, along with many other local law enforcement agencies, placed purple ribbon magnets on their patrol vehicles and motorcycles as a reminder to inform both women and men enduring domestic violence they are not alone.
“STAND UP, SPEAK OUT. STOP DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.” If you or someone you know is a victim of domestic violence, call your local law enforcement agency to report it. Resources are available! It may be the most difficult call you make, but it could save a life.
