Imperial, California. -The Imperial County Fire Department and Office of Emergency Services worked at a critical incident outside the township of Winterhaven near Ogilby Road and American Girl Mine Road, where unfortunately a man died.
The fire happened last Tuesday, January 31, aproximatly at 9pm when Imperial County Fire Engine Eight (Winterhaven) and on duty Battalion Chief responded to what initially was a report of a trailer fire.
Upon arrival encountered multiple vehicles on fire. During the respond, additional assistance was requested to include Imperial County Station Five (Paloverde) and City of Holtville.
Bystanders alerted to the possibility of a trapped victim that was found during operations without life.
Crews stayed in overhaul operations for hours.
This incident is under investigation in conjunction with law enforcement.
