CALEXICO, California.- December 31, 2022, While investigating a traffic collision on the 2500 block of Rockwood, officers located a loaded firearm in one of the vehicles.
The driver of that vehicle was identified as Carlos Moreno Jr. A subsequent search of Moreno revealed narcotics, drug paraphernalia, and an additional loaded magazine. The handgun located was reported stolen out of Yuma, Az.
Moreno was taken into custody for various felonies, including felon in possession of a firearm and possession of stolen property.
