Yuma, Arizona.– On Sunday, January 8, 2023, at about 6:37 a.m., Yuma Police officers responded to a report of an injury collision in the 4000 Block of East Gila Ridge Road.
According to Officer Christina Fernandez, the initial investigation revealed a 25-year-old-male was traveling westbound when he lost control of his gray 1995 Honda Accord and collided with a concrete barrier. The driver, who was the single occupant in the vehicle, was transported to YRMC and later flown out to a Phoenix-area hospital with severe injuries.
Speed does appear to be a factor in this collision.
