YUMA, Arizona.- On Friday, September 23, 2022 at approximately 230pm, Rural Metro Fire responded to a report of a trailer on fire in the area of 8th St an3d Myrtle Ave.
While en route, crews were advised of a possible victim trapped inside.
Upon arrival, crews found a single wide trailer with smoke showing and quickly made entry to the trailer to search for the trapped victim.
After thorough search, no victim was found and the trailer was confirmed as vacant.
Two animals were located in the trailer and removed and CPR efforts were begun.
Despite crews best efforts, both animals were declared deceased on the scene.
The fire was extinguished and crews remained on scene for multiple hours to ensure no hidden fire remained.
No injuries were reported.
