

Yuma, Arizona. – Two Yuma resident were arrested by the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office as suspects related to a homicide case.
On Sunday, July 2, 2023, at approximately 12:16 AM, The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of shots fired in the area of the 2800 Block of W. 1st Street.
Upon Deputy arrival, they located a female victim with an apparent gunshot wound and was unresponsive. Deputies performed initial life-saving measures until Rural Metro Fire Department arrived and continued to render medical aid. However, the victim succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.
The victim has been identified as Christian Galindo, 31, of Yuma, AZ. Next of kin notification has been made.
The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Bureau responded and assumed the investigation.
Preliminary investigation revealed the victim had been inside her residence when struck by a stray bullet. This investigation remains ongoing at this time.
During the course of the investigation, the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Bureau identified two suspects related to this case. Both suspects were arrested and booked into the Yuma County Detention Center on Monday, July 3, 2023
Jose Flores, 18, of Yuma, AZ, was booked for 2nd Degree Murder,
Mia Dominguez, 18, of Yuma, AZ, was booked for 2nd Degree Murder, False Reporting to Law Enforcement, Hindering Prosecution, and Evidence Tampering.
This case remains an active investigation at this time.
