YUMA, Arizona.- The Yuma Community Food Bank is opening a job opportunity as a Government Programs Specialist.
The Government Programs Specialist will support the mission of Yuma Community Food Bank by maintaining strong relationships with agencies and community partners.
Maintain up-to-date and complete files on member agencies and manage agency component of applicable databases (Link2Feed)
• Participate in the training and staffing of offsite distributions.
• Must be a team player and follow instructions but capable of taking initiative when necessary
• Conduct community outreach with agency partners to develop opportunities to explain the benefits of TEFAP and CSFP to eligible populations.
• Learn all facets of CSFP, TEFAP and other food bank programs.
• Assist with agency compliance and monitoring.
• Offer special project support and suggestions to enhance distribution
• Assist with warehouse operations as needed
• Attend and actively participate in staff meetings
• Strong organizational and communication skills
