South Yuma County cities with electrical poles down due to dust storm on Wednesday evening

SAN LUIS, Arizona- According to the City of San Luis Police Department, in South Yuma County, several electrical poles where knocked over from Wednesday August 10th, 2022 dust storm by SR-195 & Ave E-C Street.
A Traffic Control Update was released during the evening right after the United States National Weather Services alerted of a Flash Flood warning in effect for the area of Yuma County and other counties in Arizona until 10:15 PM.
San Luis Police Officers assisted on scene standing by for APS technicians.


There were no reported injuries and drivers were encouraged to drive with caution in the area and avoid the area if possible by taking HWY 95.
The National Weather Services indicated that the Flash Flood means is a dangerous and life-threatening situation.
Residents were advised not to attempt to travel unless they are fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order.
