Secretary of Homeland Security is in Arizona to secure a safety Super Bowl

Phoenix, Arizona. – This week, Secretary Mayorkas was in Glendale and Phoenix, Arizona to meet with our federal, state, and local partners, as well as our DHS workforce, ahead of Super Bowl LVII. DHS’s pre-game safety & security operations are underway.

The Secretary joined Governor Katie Hobbs, Mayor Kate Gallego, and the Phoenix Police Department, where he provided and received operational briefings on the Super Bowl. On land, in the air, and in cyberspace, DHS is there this week to secure the big game.

Secretary Mayorkas also engaged with our DHS workforce on the ground in Arizona. For months, we’ve planned for #SuperBowlLVII. Across DHS, we’re teaming up to make sure the game is safe – for fans, for the teams, and for the Glendale and Phoenix community.
