CALEXICO, California.- Described as a “psychological thriller about people standing up to domestic violence on both sides of the border and the impacts this violence against women and children have” an independent film named “Ni Una Mas” will be premiered on October 1st, in Calexico.
Directed by Roy Dorantes, “Ni Una Mas” is starred by Anthony De La Cruz Sandy Rancid, Tessy Lopez, and Axel Vizantino.
The third film from Dorantes, this is an independently produced film with a cast of over 150 regional artists driven by the passion to promote awareness on domestic violence.
NI UNA MAS premieres at Calexico SDSU-IV Campus on Saturday, October 1st, 2022, then goes on tour throughout southern California, Mexicali (México) and Yuma (Arizona).
“We will be recognizing local champions against domestic violence in every city we screen the film,” said Dorantes. “We are also organizing presentations and workshops by domestic violence survivors as part of our film project.”
Dorantes also a Freelance Journalist who has several years as a TV Producer, a Multimedia Reporter, Actor and Plays Writer, invited the community to join his efforts.
