Motocyclist dies after a colision in Yuma

YUMA, Arizona.- On Friday, November 11, 2022, at approximately 12:13 AM, the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a collision involving a vehicle versus motorcycle in the 12600 Block of E. South Frontage Road.
According to Public Information Officer, Tania Pavlak, the initial investigation revealed a red Victory Magnum motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Frontage Road when for unknown reasons, it crossed the center line and collided head on with a Nissan Altima traveling westbound.
The motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.
The driver of the motorcycle was identified as Shelby Huston, 30, of Yuma, AZ. Next of kin notification has been made.
This case remains under investigation at this time. Speed and alcohol appear to be a factor in this collision.
