Migrant rescued by Yuma Sector Border Patrol on Monday

YUMA, Arizona _ U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Border Patrol Tactical Unit (BORTAC) and the Yuma Station rescued a migrant from the All American Canal early Monday morning. After illegally crossing the border from Mexico into the U.S., the migrant entered the canal to evade apprehension.
Unfortunately, he underestimated the power of the current and was too exhausted to swim.
Agents threw a rescue disc to the migrant and pulled him to the side where he was able to use a ladder to climb out.
After determining the migrant did not need any medical attention, agents transported him to Yuma Sector for processing.
