EL CENTRO, California. – On Saturday September 24, 2022 local agencies joined efforts to offer child safety information to local families during a Child Passenger Safety Seat Event.
Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians offered car seat inspections and education. If the seat was expired, damaged or not the right size for the child an appropriate car seat was provided and installed at no cost.
The event, held outside the Imperial County Public Health Department in El Centro, was sponsored in part by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The Imperial County Public Health Department would like to thank the CA Highway Patrol, First Five Imperial, the City of El Centro Fire Department, the EMS Agency staff and the certified technicians for making this event possible to assure the safety of our children as they are transported.
